Dancing Mist
It came gleaming from the far off shore
that dancing mist of time forgot
Colouring all my visions with remembrance
of the past and the lessons learned there
And I welcomed it with open heart and eye
glad of its warm embrace of intellect
As it led me merrily upon the path of light
carrying to my present door
not alone...yet questing
After the meaning to be gathered and dusted off
and brought out anew to marvel over
Bringing a smile to my face and light
to a heart a cloud had covered in rain
Which embued the seed within me to growth
leading me ever upward to your reach
And upon your knee once more I sat, listening
to the wise words spoken from old lips
to this young/old heart
Ever will I welcome such a dancing mist
if ever it chooses to visit here again
